Overpopulation and urban concentration

Currently, cities represent 3% of the surface area of the planet and concentrate over half the population, and this is forecast to rise to 70% by 2050. Not only is the population gravitating toward cities, they generate over 80% of world Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

This is why cities face new challenges such as decongestion of traffic via mobility solutions protecting the environment, the improvement of air quality new infrastructure and services that respond to the needs of an increasingly aged population, resource management, etc.
